Shafaat/Intercession (شفاعت)

Shafaat means to intercede, advocate on someone’s behalf. In Islam, Shafaat refers to the permission granted to Prophet Muhammad by Allah Almighty to intercede on behalf of the Muslims on the day of Judgement. This permission or power of Shafaat will also be granted to other Prophets, Sualiheen (Righteous and Pious Muslims), Scholars and Shuhada (Martyrs).
